Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (Methodist Theological School)

Tony has been working the in the field of substance abuse and mental illness for the past 7 years. Tony completed his undergraduate degree in Recreation Management at Bluffton University in 2005. Tony completed a Masters in Counseling at Methodist Theological School in 2009. Tony is a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Tony’s work experience includes: Pomegranate Health Systems, both as a Recreation Therapy Worker and as case manager for AOD Services; Maryhaven as a counselor on the Teen Care Unit, the residential unit for teenage boys; and at COVA (The Center of Vocational Alternatives) developing programming for youth and helping to develop the Recovery Works Program at Maryhaven in Delaware County. Tony is currently a Substance Abuse/Mental Illness Clinician at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, a regional state psychiatric facility and has been a member of the Quest counseling team for a year. Tony specializes in chemical dependency in adults and adolescents and has experience with group and family counseling. Tony likes to incorporate his expertise in recreation and leisure skills into his counseling practice to help people creatively develop coping skills and positive healthy habits.
